CocktailMAME

Looking for the plans? I got a direct link on 'em.

The Two Box style, like the classic Midway cocktail cabinet, is $24.99. CocktailMAME is based off of this plan set!

The Three Box style, adds the capability for playing games that work side by side as well opposing, and is priced at $37.99.

Thanks for supporting my habit!

Control Panel Layout

Player 1 Joystick BoxOrginally, it was to be 10.25" wide. Frankly, for the diversity of controls on the panel, it's not wide enough. That and the buttons are on the wrong side for using the spinner.

My wife and I would end up crossing our arms over and playing with the oposite hand for the buttons.
So, we're widening it a good 1.5", removing two of the buttons altogether, the Enter and Tab buttons, and moved the spinner/trackball axis to the right and put the buttons in the middle.

The image was made in Paint Shop Pro, starting with an image size of 1175 x 650. The quicker of you out there will notice that 1175 is 100 times 11.75". The images you see here were taken from the various vender's websites and then resized to be 100 pixels per inch. Paint Shop Pro supports the concept of layers in an image and using that, pasting each control image in as it's own layer granted me the freedom to move things around and see how they all worked together. You can download a copy of the PSP file to see how I did it.
